Thomas was a cheeky engine who thought he worked harder than the other engines and he liked playing tricks on the others.
Gordon was asleep after pulling the big express when Thomas came up behind him and shouted to wake him up before racing off. Gordon got a terrible shock and decided to pay Thomas back.

Thomas is a little book which is part of the My Thomas Story Library. The cover of the book has a red banner at the top with the title in yellow lettering. Below the title is a picture of Thomas. The back cover of the book is also red and has some smaller pictures showing other titles which are available in this collection. THE STORY The book begins with the Fat Controller telling us that Thomas is a very hardworking engine shunting coaches for the bigger engines.
