Advantages: good comprehensive guide, informs and reasures
Disadvantages: a bit hard going in parts
Well, as my title suggests I was very impressed by this book. I read it about a month ago when my daughter was about 14 months. I wish that I had read this book when we had first had her and then I wouldnt have felt so guilty and and put upon when people tut tutted when I told them that Angel slept in the bed with us and metered out there own unhelpfull advice. The book has almost all you need to know about bed sharing with a baby, practical advice on do's and dont's (eg dont bed share if you or your partner smokes) the benifits of bed sharing to breastfeeding mothers, bedsharing in other cultures and also expands some of the common myths about bed sharing (it is unhealthy for the couples relationship, it causes cot death ect ect) this book really gave me confidence to justify my own choice to bed share and also backed up many of my thoughts on the subject with evidence. I would recomend this book to anyone thinking of bed sharing with their baby and also to mothers like me who already do but need a bit or reasurance/ information.
