The Villa - Nora Roberts
by jenmck - written on 16/04/09 (Very useful, 22 readings)
Rating:
not one of my favourite Nora Roberts books, but I still find it very enjoyable and the characters are very well drawn. The romance between Sophia, the hot headed Italian and Tyler the laid back wine maker is meant to be the main focus of the book, but I am drawn more to the Pilar-David relationship. Pilar transforms from a passive, defeated woman into a strong confident woman, during the novel once she frees herself from her first husband and wins the love of David. The murder/thriller aspect is well-written with an excellent twist at the end. If you looking for an easy to read romance book, with a little bit of mystery and suspense, you can t go wrong with this ...

Chesapeake Blue - Nora Roberts

Chesapeake Blue is the fourth and last book in Nora Roberts Chesapeake Bay series (also known as the Qhuinn Brothers). The series is about four adopted brothers. The oldest three were adopted by Stella and Ray Qhuinn, all of them coming from troubled backgrounds. Long after Stella has died and the older Qhuinn brothers have moved out Ray adopts Seth. Shortly after Ray dies leaving behind Seth and a lot of questions regarding his paternity. The older Qhuinn brothers return home to raise Seth and protect him from his abusive mother. The first three books contain their stories. Chesapeake Blue is set about twenty years after the first three books. Seth is a successful ...

High Noon - Nora Roberts

Rating:
know where on earth I could find such a perfect guy in real life (all her men are just about perfect though). The support characters are, as always with Roberts, great, they re funny and absolutely bring the scenes to life. My particular favourites being Dave and Ma Bee. The bad guys are insane and you really worry alongside Phoebe as she fears for those she loves. I d love to say I didn t see the main twist coming but I m afraid I did despite it almost feeling like Roberts had changed her mind about the main plot halfway through the book. There s not actually that much romance in this novel, whereas in other books she s written romance features heavily this one is ...
