Advantages: none that I can think of
Disadvantages: hard going for a book
I bought this book at a jumble sale at thought that as it was a classic that I should read it. I am glad that I only paid about 20 pence for it. It seems innocent enough about three men going on a boot trip for a little sort of holiday. However, things never seem to go the way that it should, smoothly. The boot is only little rowboat and they seem to take enough food and drink to sink the thing. In addition, of course the clothes that they wear are not the most practical to say the least. They try to make the boat a home from and home and think that they can bumble along. It does take a while for them to even get in to the boat. And they do encounter people along the way. I think that I got the 3rd/4th chapter and gave up. Not because it was too silly but because I could not believe in how silly these three man where. And it just did not seem to hold my attention. Obviously, I can only comment on the chapters that I read. It might have got better if I had wanted to battle with it. However, I gave up.
