Three To See The King - Magnus Mills

As I explained in yesterday's review of Mills' other book, I was in work the other day when a guy who works with me came up to me with two books. "This guy was a bus driver for most of his life, then he wrote these books. I thought you may like them - they're funny". With that, he left me two books by Magnus Mills, and I have finished 'Three to See the King' in less than 24 hours! Live on a plain, sweep the sand away from your front door and balk when your neighbours come calling. That is the life for the narrator of this story and he likes his solitude and his sand sweeping. Not to mention his hobby of listening to the wind in the eaves of his house made of tin.
