Tiny Deaths by Robert Shearman Robert Shearman is probably best known for writing the Dr Who episode Dalek. This was the one which re-introduced the iconic bad guys, during Christopher Eccleston’s reign as the Doctor. The lone Dalek was shown as being vulnerable for once, as we saw the inner creature inside the metal casing and it connected with Rose (Billie Piper) in a way which made many viewers cry – including me. It really was an excellent piece of writing. But Rob has an impressive CV. His work was mainly stage-based in the 1990s, then in 2000, he had his first Afternoon Play on Radio 4.
