I had to read Harper Lee's novel 'To Kill a Mocking Bird' as a book study during
the second year at my secondary school in Somerset during English lessons.

Although it is not my chosen criteria for books I enjoyed the story and could
relate to the issues the character Scout faces.

I would never have picked this book off of the book shelves for myself but I did
not regret reading it and have read it again since.

'To Kill a Mocking Bird' deals with to main issues, prejudice (racism, in this case)
and childhood.
It is a touching story told through the eyes of a young tomboy, called Jean
Louise Finch (her nickname is Scout) who still has a lot to learn about the world.

It is a great read.... so go ahead....
