Well I am a massive fan of fantasy fiction. I know it is a little bit sad that a 28 year old man finds 'fairystories' so entertaining but hey, what can I say? The grandaddy of all fantasy fiction is this great man. J.R.R.Tolkien. His most famous work is of course The Lord of the rings. And to be honest he concentrated so much on ... This book is truly an all time great, I didn't discover it untill some 20 years ago, when a friend asked me if I'd read it. To my shame I'd never even heard of it let alone read it so he lent it to me. I distinctly remember saying "I hope you're not in a hurry to get it back as it's so thick". ... This is truly a classic. Tolkien wrote this book during the 1940-50s. It's sometimes sold as a trilogy but is best read as one. Lord of the Rings continues from the Hobbit. The ring found by Bilbo turned out to be the one ring which belongs to the evil Sauron. This book tells of the tale of hobbits, drawf, elves, wizards ... Read the complete review
