This is a very helpful book for anyone trying to figure out whether their relationship is working for them, and whether the good things outweigh the bad. As Kirshenbaum says "Your relationship is either too good to leave, or too bad to stay in, but it can't be both." Kirshenbaum is a psychotherapist, and sets out simply and very clearly the questions anyone considering ending a relationship should be asking themselves. Working through this will enable the reader to figure out what is valuable and lasting within a relationship and what is hurtful and destructive.
