Advantages: Educational and exciting. Keeps little ones interested
Disadvantages: None
We have this story as part of a bumper edition hardback collection.
In this story we meet twins Topsy and Tim on their way to school with their Mummy. They hear the sound of a fire appliance and think that their friend Kerrys dad is on it. Just then Kerry and her Dad arrive for school.
Kerrys Dad tells them about an open day that his fire station are having and invites Topsy, Tim and there Mum to come to the open day to see what happens in a fire station.
When they go to the fire station they learn about the duties that Fire Officers have and get to join in with somethings like going up on the turn table ladder and looking for dangers in a room that has been set up for them.
It proves to be a very educational trip for Topsy and Tiim and has really helped give my children a good insite into what fire fighters do.
Topsy and Tim go on many adventure that tackle everyday activities for children including going on an aeroplane, going to the dentist and a new baby.
These stories have been around for many years and are still extremely popular. Written by Jean and Gareth Adamson in a way that keeps children interested, with simple and clear illustrations. Perfect for reading to children from a young age. My 18 month old loved this as well as my 5 year old.
Summary: A great book for children tackling interesting activities.
