We bought this bought recently as my daughter started school last week and thought that it might cover some of the issues that we might face. We are fans of the twins, Topsy and Tim, and have quite a few of the books that are from this series. In this book Topsy and Tim are making the transition to school from Playgroup. It covers the general fears that children have regarding moving to a larger building and there being lots of new children and of course a new teacher. I appreciate that this is an unusual choice of book for a homeschooler to review, but it's one that I really remember loving as a child. Funnily enough, it is one of the few Topsy and Tim stories that none of my little ones seem to be bothered with. I don't know whether that's because it's outside of their experience or because it just doesn't appeal to them as much as the other stories. 'Topsy and Tim Start School' is part of the Topsy and Tim series by Jean and Gareth Adamson, which follow the adventures of the two twins as they experience everything that little people do!
