The Rough Guide to Brazil - Dilwyn Jenkins:
... went to Brazil in 2005 and I had the version of 2003 of the Rough Guide together with the Lonely Planet guide. I am a Lonely Planet girl and I only took the Rough Guide with me because a friend of mine had it and it was 5 of us, so that we shared the burden of carrying to 2 books. From a travel guide I ask primarily tips on restaurants and accomodation, in this respect the lonely Planet was better. However, I fo... Read the full review: Find your way in Brazil by Praklinal |

Eyewitness Travel Guides ... leaving for the Algarve in Portugal I bought an Eye Witness Travel Guide, it is actually called Top Ten Algarve and I really did find it useful, in fact it came to be a very handy book and for the price of 6.99 well worth the money. I did actually browse through it before we left to get a basic idea of where we were going but to be quite honest I didn t really study it until we arrived. We hired a car and started to plan our seven days stay with the guide it was so easy to follow. Just inside of the front cover a good sized map can be found with all the resorts and main roads etc very easy to follow in fact we normally buy a map of the area for about six euros w... Long Way Round - Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman ... was a book I bought my husband for christmas, which he really wanted to read after seeing the TV series. It is written by actors Ewan McGregor (Star wars, Miss Potter, Moulin Rouge....) and his best friend, Charley Boorman (Hope and Glory, The Bunker...), who met on a film set and discovered a shared love of motorbikes. In 2004, the two set off on their first motorbike adventure, Long Way Round, where they traveled east around the globe. After the success of that journey, thy soon decided to start planning their next adventure, and that is where Long Way Down fits in. A three month journey from the northerly tip of Scotland to the very south of Africa, covering nearl... Read the full review: What next - long way up?! by sk0680 |

Roundabouts of Great Britain - Kevin Beresford ... tripping over a large pile of books that have been accumulating in my bedroom in recent weeks, I decided that it was about time I cleared out my bookcase to make room for my new books. It was at this point that I discovered a book, lurking in the bottom shelf, called Roundabouts of Great Britain , which took me by surprise as I m sure I ve never seen it before. Believe me, it s not a book that I would buy for myself, and I m sure I would have remembered somebody giving it to me (and quickly disowned them). Still, there it was hiding out in my bookcase, gathering dust along with books that I just don t want to part with. A mystery... So with my curiosity awaken...
