The Travel Book: A Journey Through Every Country - Roz Hopkins ... first saw this book in a book shop where I had flicked through it, but first got a proper look at it when a friend bought it as a gift for a mutual friend. Then I knew I had to have it. I described it to another friend as featuring “Every country in the world, and some others”. She was, understandably, rather confused by my statement about what these other countries actually were! Whilst the book is a travel book (rather than a reference book or atlas) and does indeed feature every (known) country in the world it has added some others under the guise of artistic license. The Rough Guide to Budapest - Charles Hebbert ... me, choosing a guide book for my trip is all part of the pre-holiday experience along with choosing which novel to take for the journey. I have been known to visit several bookshops comparing the different guide books for maps, information relevant to me and checking to see which one is the most up to date. For my recent trip to Budapest it was a close run thing with the Lonely Planet and the Rough Guide, as they were the most recently published. Ultimately I plumped for the Rough Guide as I preferred their maps. Their books tend to be text heavy, giving you a lot of background information as well as opening times/prices, but don t tend to have a great many photos. ... Rough Guide Malaysia ... Lumpur the capital of Malaysia is great for all tourists, in this very hot climate there are excellent hotels. There are great shops and things are very cheap, technology is pretty good too. Strange things were seen when exploring Malaysia, shops sellings testicles, yes i did say what you just read, Kangaroo testicles etc. I wont go into detail what else they were selling because you get the idea.
