Plague Ship - Clive Cussler
by el_bandido - written on 29/07/08 (Very useful, 77 readings)
Rating:
Cussler's latst novel has us once again joining the crew of the Oregon for a fast paced, high-tech, and high action adventure. The Oregon is no ordinary ship. Resembling the dilapidted freighter she once was, an extensive refit sees her kitted out with revolutionary technology and enough weapons to sink a small navy. Her crew is no less impressive; Captained by the enigmatic, charming and daring Juan Cabrillo they comprise ex-special forces and the cream of their respective fields to provide a 'black' ops mercenary force to right wrongs, counter terrorism, save the world and of course rescue beautiful women who are first caught up in, then prove essential to the ...

The Navigator - Clive Cussler

Rating:
I wouldn t exactly call myself a fan of Clive Cussler, but I ve always enjoyed what little I ve read in the past. I m not usually too much of a fan of marine stories, which is why he s never been a first choice of mine, although he does write exciting stories. The Navigator is no exception. Years before the birth of Christ, the Phoenicians hid something very valuable in a far away land. Thousands of years later, Thomas Jefferson, just nearing the end of his term as President of the United States, possibly discovers its whereabouts. However, there are people keen to prevent him from doing so and much of his paperwork is stolen and his friend Lewis murdered to ...

The Chase - Clive Cussler

Rating:
virtually anything (though chicklit tends to be the bottom of my list) and one of the authors best described as one of my dirty little addictions is Clive Cussler, and as a result I have a whole shelf dedicated to his books so when I wandered in to the shops one evening and spotted nestled on the shelf a new one I had to buy it. Getting home I had to do some studying so it was the next day when I got myself stuck in to it. Given my eagerness to start reading I hadnt even looked at the blurb on the back nor the cover, so hadnt noticed the lack of from the Numa files or from the Oregon files so it took me a few pages to register what seemed odd about the characters ...
