But persevere with Miller, the reward is worth it. Some of his writing is divine. I highly recommend either of the Tropics. If you want an non-sexually oriented book try the Collosus of Maroussi (one of the best Travel books on Greece I have ever read). ...

These are rhetorical questions for me, but I know some of you would reply: "No." I know that not everybody can tolerate Henry Miller, especially if the readers have in mind that what you read in his books is a mixture of autobiography and fiction. Yes, strange and cruel as it may seem, these are real incidents from his real life. In addition to the cruelty of life, you shouldn t be one of those who mind reading about businesslike orgies. After all, and as Miller himself said in The World Of Sex: "The bulk of my readers, I have often observed, fall into two distinct groups: in the one group those who claim to be repelled or ...
