This is the second Shirley Hughes book I have read to my son and I love the way the author gets into the innocent minds of young children. The stories she writes about must have many a mother/father and child relating to the situation. ** The Trouble with Jack ** Well Jack can only be described as a “little monkey”. He is the young brother to his sister Nancy who will shortly be five. He is not really naughty but should be described as being a little mischievous.
