Fiona Travers has had enough of various Mr Wrongs, and the constant reasssurances from friends, family and strangers that one day she will find a man - so she puts herself on the shelf and officially signs off from the hunt for Mr Right. Simple? Not if her well meaning friends and family have anything to do with it! They can't quite believe that she means it, so to prove the point, Fee gets involved in making a TV programme announcing the fact to the world, and then has to live with the consequences! As well as all this, she's also trying to solve the various problems of her friends, and get on with her mother, who really doesn't understand Fee's decision to be manless!

Sounds like your typical "find Mr Right when you're not looking for him" message? Don't be fooled! This book is more about the other women, not men, in Fee's life, and how they live with and without their respective other halves. It's also about the grass always being greener on the other side of the marital fence, with nobody seeming really happy being single or attached. This makes the book sounds like a really depressing read, full of miserable people, which couldn't be further from the truth!

The characters are mainly a likable bunch, all trying to get on with life as it is for them. There's also quite a few twists and turns in the plot along the way to keep you interested and amused right to the end.

All in all, a good book for relaxing with, a light amusing read that you'll probably recognise at least a couple of your friends in (and maybe even yourself!).
