One can never have enough dictionaries. The mark of a complete person is that they value what wonderous books dictionaries are, and buy and use as many as they bloody well can. Who needs a society based on capitalism, democracy or meritocracy, when you can just judge a person based on their access to lexicological reference works. Hoorah! Bill Bryson's Troublesome Words is one of those little books that nobody who seriously considers themselves a person of letters should be without.
