Girl Nobody describes the traumas and conflicts of adolescence. It is beautifully constructed and the language creates a tense atmosphere throughout. The ending is tragic but inevitable as the imagery and references through the book point towards a startling yet unsurprising tragedy. This book is hard work at times and has many parallels to 'God of Small Things' but is certainly a worthwhile read.
