This is the third book in the Saga of Darren Shan series written from the point of view of the author Darren Shan with himself as themain character. The first two books saw his transition from human life to being a half-vampire and this book sees him encounter more of the blood-sucking kind. After moving to Mr. Crepsley's home town Darren begins to get suspicious of his masters whereabouts during the night. He has other things t worry about initially as he enrols in the local school and falls in love with a girl from the area. The third book in the Shan saga. This is possibly the best book in the saga. It is perhaps the only one that is strong enough to be a stand alone story. To put it another way - this book would make the best movie! We are back with Darren who is recovering from the events of book 2. Now however there is a new threat. There is an evil vampire on the loose in Mr. Crepsleys home town. These eveil vampires are known as the vampaneze. They look different to normal vampires and they kill when they drink from humans.
