Advantages: Kept me gripped throughout
Disadvantages: Not such a great ending
I read this in one sitting...keeping me up till 3am. Ok so i was super tired after i finished it, but i just couldnt put it down. Much the same with the other 3 twilight saga books. Theyre not the kind of books you can put down, always making me want to find out whats next.
Bella and Edward finally decide to get married and the Cullen's are more than happy to welcome her into the family, but Jacob and the other wolves don't think their relationship is anything good at all.
While on their honeymoon, something happens that will change their lives forever but also threatens to destroy something they love so dearly. The newlywed Cullen's must seek help once again from their family, the wolves and other vampires from all over the world to make sure they get their happy ending.
I was a little dissapointed with #4 though. I was expecting some huge fight at the end of the book which just didnt happen. There is such a massive build up through the book as the Volturi want to kill Bella and Edwards's child but a fight didn't even nearly happen. After talking for a while, the Volturi back off quite easily and I was definitely expecting more.
Even though we have had 3 books of learning about the characters, Meyer goes into great detail about what they feel and how they change. I thought I would be pretty bored of this by now but it was interesting to see some personality transplants throughout the story.
Jacob has been one of my favourite characters throughout the series and I was really glad we got to hear so much from him in Breaking Dawn. Jacob has always hated Edward because of the past and the treaty between the vampires and the wolves but I loved that no matter what, he was always by Bella's side and was put through some hard times just to make sure she was alright. After all, he is her best friend. We all knew he was never going to get the girl but at least he got his own happy ending.
I dont wanna give away too much for people that havent read this yet but there is a lot to keep you gripped. I feel there was a lot more emotion in the other 3 books so its definitly not my favourite but things do end up nicely for all around.
Summary: Could have been better
