Advantages: good
Disadvantages: cant say as it is a spoiler
**SPOILERS**
Better give a background to the book in a nutshell. Bella (a human) and Edward (a vampire) meet and fall in love. The 4-book series follows them, their family and their friends through the struggles of their love.
EDITED: Wrote a long review for this but apparently it was full of spoilers which aren't allowed with a warning so I have no idea what is actually required for a review of books if there is no detail of the plot.
Half way through the book, the "voice" is not by the main character as in previous books. I wasn't too keen on this way of writing as it lasts for 200 pages.
I don't like that some of the people are missing out of the books, when they are my favourite characters, and there is only a poor explanation near the end explaining where they were.
The events in the first half could have been a book on their own as the book is 700 pages, it made sense to split in half and develop the plot in the last half of the book as it is quite rushed.
Not my favourite but worth a read.
Summary: ok

- 20/06/09 Sorry but putting Spoiler at the beginning does not make it ok to give the whole plot away. You have to consider that people who seek out reviews are looking for an opinion on a book they haven't read, and giving away the plot spoils it for them. x |
