Advantages: Great action, same characters, good twists, long
Disadvantages: End of the set, rushed ending
The final book in the saga! I approached this with some trepidation as I was reluctant to reach the final conclusion.
I could only find this book in hardcover form - I don't know is a soft back has been released or is due to come out. This does look slightly strange against the smaller softcover first three novels, and I did wonder how much higher the price is, but I managed to find it a decent discount (shop around as not everywhere has it and some shops were charging full RRP).
The book is noticeably longer than the others in the series (768 pages of vampires, werewolves and the odd human!), thankfully this doesn't mean a lull in activity this book is even more entwined and complicated than the rest.
I don't want to give the story away - so apologies if I sound rather vague!!! Meyer has bought back all the characters who were vital in the last few books and added even more. I was a little confused after the conclusion of the last book how certain ones would still come back as allies, and the twist that has allowed this is unexpected and clever. It puts everything that you learnt through the last books in to question.
This book is more violent and more passionate (an aspect that hasn't been seen before). One downside I found was that there was less description and time voted to detailing characters and there are alot to get used to - although certain characters do gain more depth (Rosalie, Jasper and Emmet)
This concludes the saga well, although
Summary: Top score for the final book.
