Advantages: Addictive, Amazing Writing Style, Flows Together Well.

Disadvantages: Gets a bit 'repetitive' during the middle section.

I myself am a very picky reader. If I read the first chapter, or sometimes even the first couple of pages and the book doesn't interest me I'll put the book down and let it gather dust. Sometimes I may venture back to the book and decide I was wrong and it does actually interest me, but that isn't normally the case.

So when I heard about Twilight I was wary to say the least. Often when you hear people talking about it you hear remarks such as "It's just some teenage love story that has no depth." I decided it would be best for me to first watch the movie and get a feel for the whole storyline, it would be a great time out with friends anyway regardless of whether the film is any good.

After coming out of the cinema I found the movie to be great, the whole idea of it being some 'teenage love story' quickly exited my mind and I was very eager to start reading the book.

Upon purchasing the book, the cover intrigued me. It shows a woman with an apple in her hands, perhaps representing her heart? To me this made the whole story seem very sophisticated and mature, blasting the 'teenage love story' critics from the water.

I started reading the book and I loved Stepenie Meyer's writing style straight away. She seems to take into consideration exactly what we want and expect from the book using 'straight to the point' language throughout.

If I had to pick one bad point from Twilight it would be around the middle section of the book, it gets slightly boring and repetitive especially if you've watched the movie, it just seems to be about Bella going to school everyday doing the exact same thing. If I hadn't of watched the movie I probably would of gave up on the book around this section.

After the middle section the book was outstanding keeping me gripped into the early hours of the morning, it's one of those books you can't put down once you get to an exciting part.

Overall I found Twilight to be an amazing read, I've also read New Moon and Eclipse and the book gets even more exiting with each one. With various twists and plots that keep you on the edge of you seat for many a night.

I hope I've gave you a good insight into Twilight, even if you find the book a bit 'slow going', read through it and once you start on the other books you'll be glad you did.

Summary: A great read regardless of your age, or gender!
