Advantages: Great characters, amazing descriptions
Disadvantages: You may not sleep until its finished!
For my next holiday, I want to go to Forks, Washington to find my Edward!!
I wasn't immediately swept up in the phenomenon that is The Twilight Saga. In fact, I rented the DVD and sent it back without watching it. A freind lent it to me and told me I had to watch it. It was amazing, and the next day I went and bought all the books.
Twilight took me less than 23 hours to read, cover to cover. If there is one thing I love, its a book that is 'un-put-down-able'. Stephanie Meyer certainly delivers that!
Plot
To allow her newly married mother to go on the road with her husband, Bella moves to Forks, Washington to live with her dad. Once she starts at school, she meets Edward, a beautiful, pale boy. Bella and Edward become infatuiated with each other, and Bella soon learns a shocking secret about Edward and his family - they are vampires. Rather than scaring Bella, she falls more in love with Edward.
Their relationship, and lives, become endangered after a tracker vampire becomes obsessed with killing Bella. We hold our breaths to find out if Bella can be saved in time.
Characters
The Twilight characters are extremely well written and described, it is so easy to picture them in your heads thanks to Stephanie Meyers fantastic descriptions. You can almost relate to a part of all the characters. Even the smaller characters are written well into the book, nothing has been missed out!
Overview
This definately goes down as one of my all time favourite books. Every page is filled with delicious descriptiveness, fantastic characters, and there is not a single page throughout the whole book that you want to skip just to get to the end quicker. Stephanie Meyer has an incredible talent, and the fact that this book came about because of a dream, makes me very jealous that my dreams aren't this good!!
Summary: The best book I have read in years
