I got this book from the library having spotted it by chance the day my son had his second pair of new shoes after finally outgrowing his first pair. I thought the title seemed appropriate and Shireley Hughes the author is very well known. The book is actually a poem about all different types of clothing, new shoes, different hats for different occasions, gloves and socks, different length of dress, and finally getting into the bath with nothing at all on. The rhyme takes you through the poem in an upbeat fashion, and there is an illustration for each new item of clothing. There are many themes for this book, new and old, long and short, clothing ...
