From writer and journalist Tom Cox comes 'Under The Paw,' which, as he puts it, charts the life, loves, and general hygiene issues of a cat man. An autobiographical book, Tom writes about his life as a cat-lover and owner, which, for a man, he says, is still a taboo. "When the Simpsons introduced Mad Cat Lady, she needed no introduction or explanation... she does not have a male counterpart." Tom recounts anecdotes from his life, most being cat-related. Although the book does have some heart-wrenching moments (for example, when one of his cats dies after being hit by a car), by and large it is tremendously funny.
