One wet summer afternoon I decided I'd had enough of my 'point and shoot' camera and I wanted to graduate to a 'grown up model', so off I toddled to the local camera shop. After parting with a fair amount of money I was the proud owner of a shiney new digital SLR. I got it home, all excited, then realised I faced a steep learning curve in order to use it as more than just a glorified 'point and shoot.'
