Having lately become a fan of Scandinavian crime fiction, I was browsing the shelves of my local bookshop looking for new authors to try when I stumbled across Mari Jungstedt: not literally you understand as that could mean the same brutal fate had befallen her as the tragic victims of "Unseen" her debut novel. It was the setting - the Swedish island of Gotland - that interested me in particular since the synopsis did not sound particularly remarkable.
