This is the second book in the Saga of Darren Shan series and it continues the success of the first book with its unique story of vampires told from the authors point of view. After the events of the firsr book Darren is working with Mr. Crepsley with the freak show as it travels around the country. After leaving his family and best friends behind Darren is no longer a schoolboy worried about homework, but a vampire who is trying to resist what he needs to stay alive. Darren is only a half vampire and needs less blood to survive, but his refusal to drink from humans leaves him in need of another source. He befriends Sam and the snake boy, but there is another creature on ...
