or at least one of the best horror writers you can find around. He is able to get you interested fairly quickly and keeps you reading till the end. Darren Shan s blood beast is just as good as all the other books he has written and I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes reading horror books. The story line is as follows: Grubbs Grady has so far escaped the family curse, but when he begins to experience alarming symptoms at the days before full moon, he is scared that the jaws of fate are opening and about to swallow him whole. This book is the second of twelve books in the Saga of Darren Shan. The series of books about vampires, with the author as the main character, who is a boy of about twelve years old. The book opens with Darren and his vampire keeper Mr Crepsley preying on a Scout leader as he walks home in the dark. Mr Crepsley knocked the man out with his breath, then cut his leg where there was a vein and drank his blood, Darren refused to have any, Mr Crepsley then healed the cut.
