Advantages: Great book, keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what he will do next.

Disadvantages: The book ends

I first read this book when I was about 16 needless to say at that time I did not trully grasp the incredible talent that was at my finger tips. I have since that time doubled in age and then some and have reread the book. I am happy to say that now with a understanding it is one of the best books I have ever read.

Lestat is once again his diabolic self hell bent on destruction either his or every one else. Lestat is the one you love to hate and and hate to love. This is his story. Lestat was created by a unloving and uncaring vampire that as soon as Lestat was created his maker walked into the fire. Leaving Lestat alone as a fledgling vampire to find his own way in a new world of the undead. Along the way Lestat makes many mistakes and goes against the code or laws of the Vampires. Constantly being a thorn in every one's side.

This is the second book in the series. This book is Lestat's story and it is told by him. As always Anne Rice does not miss a beat in her story telling and with her ability to wrap you in a story and make you love the most diabolic Vampire ever to come to print.

This is a great book and can make for great reading with out ever reading the first book. Once you pick up this book you will never want to put it down and when your done you will be on the look out for the next book in the series. This is such a great book keeping the readers flipping the pages anxious to see what Lestat will pull next.

Kudo's to Anne Rice with her ability to bring fantasy to life in the mind of so many readers.

Summary: Great book great reading.

I love the rich texture of Rice's writing.
