... This series of books i feel are far better than the Harry Potter series, which i found to be repetative and too childish. I did enjoy this book. I find the series to be quiote addictive (i was much younger when i read them and found them to be quite scary). The discription of the fight scenes, monster etc is fantastic and i feel that the writing has certainly picked up from the first two or so books. The Book is not very long, which means if one is a fairlty decent reader, it could be finished within a day or so. ...more

In my review of Darren Shan and the Vampire Mountain I will not contain any spoilers of the book but I may write a few hints in and I will write about the first book in the series as it is necessary for you to understand as to what is happening. For this reason I would suggest you not reading this review if you are going to read the first book and want everything which happens in Darren Shan: Cirque Du Freak to be a surprise I would recommend you not to read the rest of the review. In the first book Darren Shan and his best friend Steve go to circus and Darren is amazed about a spider which does tricks. So later on that night he steals the spider. When showing ...  Read the complete review
