Advantages: exciting

Disadvantages: Short.Not much of storyline

In my review of Darren Shan and the Vampire Mountain I will not contain any spoilers of the book but I may write a few hints in and I will write about the first book in the series as it is necessary for you to understand as to what is happening. For this reason I would suggest you not reading this review if you are going to read the first book and want everything which happens in Darren Shan: Cirque Du Freak to be a surprise I would recommend you not to read the rest of the review.
In the first book Darren Shan and his best friend Steve go to circus and Darren is amazed about a spider which does tricks. So later on that night he steals the spider. When showing the spider to Steve though this poisonous spider bites Steve. Steve is then taken to hospital and looks as if he is dying. Darren then makes a deal with the spider owner. Steve will get cured...if Darren becomes a vampire! Darren goes ahead with the deal and then has to fake his death as he can't continue living normal life as he has so much more strength he could kill his mother while hugging her.
Darren Shan and Vampire Mountain is the fourth book in a highly successful series of twelve. Based six years after the last book Darren Shan know has to present himself to the Vampire Generals. In this exciting book Darren Shan has to take the perilous journey to Vampire book. In my opinion this book is exciting and a fantastic installment to this brilliant series. I would highly recommend this read but this is one of those series which you really have to read in order.
