Advantages: Captivating, makes you feel in the story

Disadvantages: Sex trafficking plot is a little disturbing

As in my other review I said that I Love Tess Gerritsen books and this one is a great read.
The story involves the characters of Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Maura Isles, Also characters in her other books; The Sinner, Body double, The Surgeon, The Mephisto Club, Vanish, The Apprentice, and Keeping the Dead.

Vanish begins where a character called Mila is describing her journey through the Mexican desert travelling with six other girls one which is her best friend across the border into America in search of their new happy fairytale lives. All is soon to be ravelled, and what is meant to be the American dream unravels a story of deceit and torture for these young girls.
The story also coincides with a nameless woman who appears to be an apparent suicide case waiting for the medical examiner to complete an autopsy. But this too is not what it seems and when the body bag is unzipped and ravels that the corpse is still alive. The "dead" woman is rushed to the hospital where she murders a security guard and seizes hostages. Heavily pregnant Detective Jane Rizzoli is one of those hostages.

As most of Tess Gerritsen books, this too gets the adrenaline rushing and totally captivates the reader's imagination, from start to finish the story has many twists, turns and cliff hangers.
You find you just can not put this book down and truly feel in the story and connected to the characters.

Once again a fantastic book from start o finish, however I would like to mention the story is based around the sex trafficking industry and some scenes can be quite disturbing and very detailed but try not to be put off.

Summary: Well wrtten and captures the reader's attention all the way through
