Venus Envy - Louise Bagshawe ... bad case of 'Venus' envy ...Her little sister Gail is an irritating waif-like beauty. Femme fatale Keishahas shotup the ladder of successin her career. And Bronwen istotally hip and supremely funky. It's time for Alex to take some action --get out, strut her stuff and give Venus a run for her money. Though she's more or less solvent, Alex's life isn't getting any simpler, thanks to her dreary City job, lack of dates and spending money, and her infatuation with her very charming, very married boss. Something easygoing, that keeps your interest and preferably is quite amusing. Louise Bagshawe has the fine art of writing acceptable (and in this case outstanding) beach book down to a tee. Previous years I have had the pleasure of The Movie and Career Girls so when Company magazine were kind enough to offer me Venus Envy for free, who was I to turn my ...
