This is one of the most classic chidrens books of all time 40 years and still going strong. I first bought this book 11 years ago it is one of the best childrens books i have ever came across. The story is about a caterpillar who eats an endless supply of food, more and more each day and he gets larger and larger until he eventually transforms onto a butterfly, each page has hole were the caterpillar ate through my son loves poking his finger through them! It is also a great teaching aid teaching differnt foods, counting, how a caterpiller turns into a butterfly and learning the days of the week. The pictures are great and really tell the story making it apealling to children of all ages. This is by far my 18 month old sons favorite bedtime story I purchased the hardback version meaning my son can "read" this alone without damaging anything. Highly recommended A must buy for children of all ages!
