The pages are made of the same thick plastic which makes it easy for little fingers to get hold of and turn with ease. It's also very bright and colourful which makes it extremely engaging for the young ones. I really like the fact that the rhymes are 'well known' so I could sing along with them from the start. Premium Review VTech Little Smart Nursery Rhymes: Noah had a little book, it's cover was vibrant and funky.... ... (375 words)

Noah received this book a year a go when a friend of mine passed some old toys onto us. It is one of the few Vtech products that I like and he still uses it to this very day if he can fight it off Elijah! The toy is basically a book that is made of plastic and when you turn each page it plays the song that is relevant to the picture. The rhymes are written clearly at the bottom in black text so the parent can sing along too. The six rhymes that feature in the book are Mary had a little lamb, Pat a cake, This little piggy went to market, Hickory Dickory Dock, Hey diddle diddle and Twinkle twinkle little star. This book is very sturdy and although ...  Read the complete review

My daughter recieved this nursery rhyme book for christmas and it has been well used since then. It was designed as part of Vtech "Smart Step" programme which encourages children to develop reading, writing, speech and hand and eye coordination. My daughter received it when she was 14 months but it is suitable from 6 months onwards. The book is made out of plastic and looks some what like a personal organiser. The plastic is very tough and has taken many batterings and has not been wounded yet!! The book is very bright and fun looking with bold colours, the main being red, yellow and green. The book is specifically aimed at babies from 6 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review VTech Little Smart Nursery Rhymes: VTECH little smart nursery rhymes- more than just a book. (200 words)

This is a bright coloured plastic based musical nursery rhyme book and in my opinion is the best thing since sliced bread! It has six common nursery rhymes on it, like Hickory dickory dock, twinkle twinkle little star etc. And it also has two buttons to press so it either plays the song to go with the nursery rhyme or it does an action relating to the song, e.g. claps for pat a cake. It is big and bulky and easy for little clumsy hands to turn the pages it even has plastic flaps sticking out for each page, so that the baby/toddler can turn the pages using them. It also extremely strong so that when it gets thrown across the room in a temper it ...  Read the complete review
