A Walk To Remember

This book is another one that has been made into a film, and in my opinion, the film was just fantastic but this book is utterly brilliant. For once I think the director and screen play writer really took what Nicholas Sparks wrote and made sure that not too much changed because it was just pure perfection.

If you've never read Nicholas Sparks before then here's a little bit about him.

Nicholas Sparks is a well known American author who writes romantic fiction, he is constantly the best seller in the New York Times list, and the one thing that I like is he uses the names of his huge family in his books, and uses a lot of himself to write. I believe all of his books are set in his home town of North Carolina.

He has the tendency to make you cry and this book is no different.

The Plot
=======

The book follows Landon, a high school jock who makes a big mistake and is partnered with Jamie, the Baptists daughter who walks around with a bible in her hands and is a regular do gooder. She doesn't have many friends and none of the boys fancy her, however Landon starts to see the true beauty within and begins to fall slowly in love.

My Opinion
=======

This book is just amazing; I think it's my favourite book that Nicholas Sparks has written. The way he writes is just brilliant especially in this book, because when the twist comes you really feel upset and if you're like me, then I dare you not to cry.

I'm sure some of you have seen the film already, if not then check it out because it is just as good as the book. I think it was annoying that they cast someone as pretty as Mandy Moore as it made the role of Jamie less believable, however if you like a good story and a good chick flick then either the book or the film are for you.

Like most of Nicholas Sparks books you can't put the book down, I think I've read the book countless times over the years and I never tire of reading it again. I think the development of the characters is just brilliant and you really feel for this two characters. Sparks really has a talent for writing true love and making you believe in true love.

If you are not a cryer then you haven't seen this film yet, we watched it at a sleepover a few years ago and I think 2 people of about 12 of us didn't have a tear in their eyes, it really is beautiful. If you've seen the film and loved it, then I would recommend reading the book because it's so much better than the film.

Final Opinion
========

I will be actually selling some of Nicholas Sparks books on EBay soon, as I have everyone he's ever written and they just take up so much room. You can pretty much get his books for pennys on EBay but on sites like Play.com you are looking to pay £5 for it. Our library has hundreds of Nicholas Sparks books so check for them there as well.

This is definitely one of Nicholas Sparks best books by far, it has so much emotion written onto every page, and it's got the most heartbreaking twist within it that I'm sure will get most of you girls sobbing.

A fantastic book and well worth the money you pay for it.
