Dooyoo own a mobile phone, of course you do, everyone does (well almost). Some even have two, but I can't work out why and I don't care. The point is if your into the latest craze, which is sending little messages via your mobile phone (called SMS's) then you better buy this guide. WHAT IS IT: Basically it contains all the abbreviations and pictures you can include in your messages by using the keys on your mobile. Some of the abbreviations include ones which you will have already met, such ASAP (As Soon As Possible) and others that are just too complicated to remember. Just remember that the chances are the person you ... Read the complete review

Have you got it yet? MARGE SIMPSON!!! Ever since a friend from work gave me this as a little Christmas I treat I have been glued to it! Basically it contains all those little pictures and abbreviations that we're all so obsessed with! There are some real gems in here, both useful and amusing. The first few pages are devoted to an introduction and a few simple £emoticons". You know the usual :o). This is followed by the usual abbreviations e.g. BRB - be right back, ROFL - rolling on the floor laughing. There's over 1000 different variations for use in all moods and occasions, some that are guaranteed to not have been discovered by others before, and even offers readers to send suggestions for future editions. Amazon are offering this book for 99p, and while it's nothing more than something you'll read a few times, it's not a bad little ... Read the complete review

The title is supposed to stand for This Book Is Rubbish! The point I'm trying to demonstrate is that although the book contains loads of emoticons, abbreviations and acronyms etc, very little of them are actually useful due to the fact that nobody will be able to understand or decipher them! I had a quick look at a friend's copy of the book, and it had me in stitches because there was absolutely no way that you could guess what the majority of the messages meant unless you had a copy of the book. In which case, hats off to the author, great marketing ploy. I send a lot of text messages and I thought the purpose of this book was to suggest ways of ... Read the complete review
