Shannon is your typical modern novel heroine - nearly 30, worried about her relationship, her family... worried about pretty much everything really! But this American book has a quirky style which sets it apart from some of the Bridget Jones imitators, even down to its unusual page layout. The other people in Shannon's life - her mother, her appalling boyfriend, and her colleagues in her unrewarding job - are all analysed and well-described.
