Graphic design is everywhere - nearly all of the products we see around us have been designed by someone, somewhere. Logo's, street signs, computers, magazines, memory cards, and headache pills all started out as ideas waiting to be sketched out on paper. Quentin Newark's 'What is Graphic Design' was probably the first design book which I bought. As such, the predominantly white hardback cover now looks a little worse for wear, with paint blobs and general dirty marks all over it!
