When Alice started reception full time a couple of years ago she was in for a shock. For twelve months she'd been attending the schools nursery part time which meant going to school at 9am and being picked up again at 11am. Not much time to get used to the school routine with the main problem being explaining to Alice why she can't have dinner at home anymore. On her first day she looked visibly nervous when she went into school and not much better when she came out!
