Advantages: compelling but .....

Disadvantages: frightening

I read this book for the first time about three years ago. I have re-read it about 5 times since. It is a difficult book to read and hard to follow in places, but is compelling if you enjoy psycological type books. It has a horrifying facination and keeps you going back to read it again. Each time I read it I find something that I missed the previous time.
It is difficult to believe that someone can have all those personalities inside them, but it is easy to understand how they happened given the level of abuse suffered.
I must admit to wondering after each reading what happened to Trudi and what sort of life she was able to lead after the abuse and after the therapy.
