course family loyalty. It spans the globe from France to America and Russia back to England, wherever there is sparkle there must also be scandal or so it seems. Louise Bagshawe has done a fantastic job with Sparkles, she really brings the characters to life, and I really felt an empathy with main character Sophie, especially when there are times in the story when she seems to have noone to talk to that she can truly trust. Also in equal measure to the empathy I had for Sophie I also felt an anger against another of the high ranking characters Judy Dean, who seemingly has no regard to who she hurts in the hope of getting to the top, and screwing over those who she sees ...
