One of the things that appeals to me about the books written by Cecelia Ahern is that they are all so different. Where Rainbows End is no exception, the style of writing alone is different from PS I Love You and any other book she has written since. The book is formed of a series of conversations in a variety of forms be it letters, emails, instant messenger conversations and many others. I think this is a very entertaining way of writing as it seems like you are almost snooping on the lives of these people.

The two main characters are Rosie and Alex, the beginning of the book starts with them as kids and shows you that they have been friends for a very long time. You realise that they know everything about each other, all their hopes and dreams are shared. The book follows them through their lives with a variety of events sending them on completely different paths. At various points throughout their lives they keep intersecting and you realise that these two are meant for each other, they are soul mates. The question is do they make it?

The book is based for the majority in Ireland, which is also the home of Cecelia Ahern meaning that the descriptions are accurate. This book will make you cry both because you are happy and because you are sad. I really enjoyed everything about this book, the emotions, the writing style, the characters and the plot. I think the book is an excellent second book from Cecelia Ahern and in my opinion she will find it hard to write another book that tops this one!
