This is a simple but clever book with great illustrations. The premise of the book is that we are looking for a cat and we keep thinking we see her, but it's actually something else. We take a journey around a large garden, checking behind the fence, in the bushes, etc and coming across various flora and fauna along the way. The drawings are very clear, bold, bright and smiley. There are cut outs in the pages where you can see through to the next page, for example; Are those the cat's whiskers we see through the shed window?
