Oh great! ANOTHER book about writing. All very well, but aren’t there enough of these things out there? Do we really need another one? What makes this one so special? William Goldman is a Hollywood screenwriter, with a large number of films to his credit, including the Oscar-winning BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. A good many years ago he wrote a book about his screenwriting experiences, entitled ADVENTURES IN THE SCREEN TRADE. This was a bestseller, and this year, Goldman released this book, the sequel. The book is fantastic in that it not only discusses his scripts, Goldman also teases us with behind the scenes Hollywood gossip (I laughed out loud many times, but especially during the story where he tells the reader how he found out the height of Sylvester Stallone – a classic!).
