She loves the picture of the teddy bear on the front page and now she is thirteen months she will toddle off to fetch her teddy whenever I show her the book. Her absolute favourite though is a lovely picture of a babies bottle which she turns to repeatedly when she is looking at the book alone, she actually loves all the pictures in this book and will linger over each one as she turns the pages. Following from the success with Faces, a black and white cloth book we read with my granddaughter from seven weeks, I decided to buy her another black and white book to further aid her introduction to books. White On Black by Tana Hoban is the book I finally decided on after much research and I also bought its sister book, Black On White. White On Black is simplicity itself.
