The BBC programme - Who Do You Think You Are?, was made in my opinion because since more and more families had the internet, interest in Genelogy had grown beyond expectations. Gone were the days of visiting countless places around the country to obtain information, trailing thru records. Creating your family history was now something you could do in your spare time, not a major commitment. Anyone interested in creating their family tree should get this book, it costs £25, but I borrowed mine from the library, so that could be a cheaper option. Dan Waddell's 'Who Do You Think You Are?' is the literary accompaniment to the BBC TV series with the same name. The TV series' main focus is on tracing the ancestry of various celebrities, taking one a week and following them as they research their history, often with startling results. What this book does is take the main focus away from the celebs and act as a guide to us if we should try to research our ancestry.
