Men are portrayed as completely unable to empathise, (particularly with women) hold an engaging conversation, have a great inability to read body language, and all like "crude humour such as farting competitions" or analyse social situations. While this can be said to be true to a certain extent, there are certainly more empathic and understanding men than can have female thought processes, and vice versa with females - yet thi...more

Why men lie and women cry is a fascinating insight into the social differences between genders, with a bit of humour thrown in for good measure. I do not have a Bridget Jones-esque fascination with applying various hare-brained schemes based on the actions of civilizations who died out thousands of years ago to my life. I just got curious, and of the two books of this genre I have ever read, this was the second. I have, therefore, one good thing to say about it; it has probably saved me from ever wasting money on such tripe again. I suppose you can say that to describe such a book as tripe is pointless because the world of wealth inside it cannot always been applied to ...
